Archies Newborn Session | South Wales, Brynmawr
I recently had the pleasure of photographing sweet baby Archie for his newborn session at my studio in Brynmawr, South Wales, Gwent. Though it wasn’t without its challenges, the session turned out to be one of my most memorable yet
Little Archie was struggling with colic, which made for some fussy moments. As many parents know, colic can make a newborn session a bit more unpredictable. But with a lot of patience, soothing, and gentle persistence, we were able to work through those tough moments. The key to a successful newborn session, especially when a baby is experiencing discomfort, is to remain calm and flexible. I always take extra time to ensure that both baby and parents feel relaxed, which helps create a peaceful atmosphere for capturing those precious moments.
Despite the challenges, we managed to capture beautiful shots of Archie in various poses and settings. His tiny hands, adorable expressions, and the peaceful moments in between his discomfort were all beautifully documented. In the end, I was able to deliver a full gallery of images that his parents will cherish forever.
Adding to the charm of the session was their gorgeous dog, Luna. Luna was just amazing, showing such gentle curiosity and affection towards baby Archie. She was a natural in front of the camera, and the shots of her snuggling up to Archie are some of my favorites. Luna’s presence added a lovely, personal touch to the session, capturing the love and bond between the family’s newest addition and their loyal furry friend.
In the end, this session was a reminder that even when things don't go exactly as planned, with patience and love, we can still create something truly special. I'm so grateful to have been a part of capturing Archie's early days and to witness the strong family bond, including their wonderful dog Luna, that surrounds him.
